NEET 2017: Application Form, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Exam Dates

NEET 2017National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level medical entrance exam. This exam is regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET 2017 is organized for providing admission in the MBBS/BDS programme.  These Courses are offered by the various government & private Universities/ Institution of the Country. NEET 2017 Application Form

Candidates can get the NEET Application Form 2017 through online mode. The Application Form will be available from the first week of December till last week of December 2016.  Keep the print copy of the confirmation page for future use.

Application Fee

The application fee is Rs.1400 (Rs. 750 for SC/ST category). In case of late fee payment Rs. 1400 will be charged. The Fee can be deposited via credit card/debit card/net banking/e-wallet or E-Challan.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Indian or overseas candidates can apply.
  • Candidates have to pass the 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCB subjects.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.

NEET Exam Dates

Here, we are providing the tentative date schedule for NEET 2017:

  • Application Form Availability: First week of December 2016
  • Application Form Availability Last Date: Last week of December 2016
  • Admit Card Availability: First week of April 2017
  • Date of Exam: First week of May 2017
  • Result Declaration: First week of June 2017
  • Counselling Started: First week of August 2017

NEET Exam Pattern

NEET Examination will be held in the first week of May 2017 through Pen-Paper mode. The duration of the NEET Exam will be 3 hours. 180 multiple choice questions will be asked in the question paper. For a correct answer, 4 marks will be given & 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer.

NEET 2017 Syllabus

NEET Syllabus comprises of the four sections, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. The syllabus consists of the Class 11th & 12th topics & chapters. The Syllabus will be prescribed by the NCERT, CBSE & COBSE.

NEET Admit Card 2017

Candidates can download the NEET 2017 Admit Card through online mode. The admit card will be provided from the first week of April 2017. There is no procedure to send the admit card by post. Save the admit card till the admission process, not over.

NEET Result 2017

NEET 2017 Result will be announced in the first week of June 2017 through online mode. Candidates can check their results by entering the roll number & date of birth. After the result declaration, the merit list will be prepared.

NEET Counselling 2017

After the result declaration, the NEET 2017 counselling process will be started. The NEET Counselling will be managed by the Medical Counseling committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota seats. The counselling will begin from the first week of August 2017. The counselling will be held through online mode.
