The AIPMT (All India Pre Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Test) is an entrance exam organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The AIPMT exam was organized for the screening of the students to provide admission in MBBS and BDS Courses provided by the various colleges/institutions across the country. Now, NEET exam has replaced AIPMT exam from the year 2016. The AIPMT Counselling 2016 was organized by the Directorate General of Health Science (DGHS). The AIPMT counseling was held in the month of July or August, 2016 . The counselling process of AIPMT is divided into three parts such as offline counselling, online counselling and DU counselling which are mentioned below.
The AIPMT counselling for participating State Medical Colleges/Universities/ Institutions was done through the offline mode. From the year 2017, the counselling will be conducted through online mode only. NEET Counselling 2017 will be started from the fourth week of August 2017. Candidates have to follow the rules and regulation of participating bodies for the counselling process. Candidates can get the application form for counselling from the participating university or college.
The Directorate General of Health Science conducts the online counselling for the seats under 15% all India quota. Candidates who are going to attend the online counselling make sure to read out the information bulletin provided for the counselling procedure.
Delhi University Counselling
The Delhi University (DU) is going to conduct the counselling for 85% Seats quota as per the marks scored by the candidates in AIPMT examination. Candidates can get the application form through the Faculty of Medical Science, University of Delhi.
The merit list will be made as per the ranks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam. After that candidates will be called for counselling process. Candidates are required to choose the colleges and programmes in which they are seeking for admission. The allotment of seats will be based on the ranks secured by the candidates in the exam and availability of seats in the colleges/institutions.
Candidates are required to show some documents for verification in the counselling process. The list of required documents is mentioned below:
- Mark sheets of 10th and 12th or equivalent class
- Passing certificate of 10th and 12th or equivalent class
- ID Proof
- DOB Certificate
- Admit card of AIPMT
- Rank card of AIPMT
